1. Background & Rationale

The rapid advancement in Computing is reshaping how societies operate, businesses compete, and governments serve their citizens. While many journals exist in computer science sub-disciplines, there is a critical need for a truly global, interdisciplinary platform addressing the convergent nature of digital innovation. Existing regional journals often lack the global perspective needed for today's interconnected research landscape. Concurrently, demands for high-quality, open-access research in digital innovation continue to rise.

The International Journal of Computing and Digital Innovation (IJCDI) bridges this gap. Hosted by the School of Computing, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), IJCDI provides a scholarly platform for high-quality, peer-reviewed research spanning foundational computing and applied innovations. The journal reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the school’s departments, covering topics across Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
